    We Are Looking For

    Addvolt is seeking a Data Engineer with high energy and a strong work ethic to join our Digital Services Team at Porto. We're looking for a passionate, tech-savvy professional eager to grow professionally in the digital industry who is looking for an ambitious challenge.

    We are looking for responsible individuals, committed to work in a young, fast-growing company. We believe learning is a two-way street: leveraging your knowledge while providing you with opportunities to expand your
    skill set.

    As a data engineer you will:



    • Perform data analysis over on-demand problems that can range from internal product management, strategic decisions to vehicular data;

    • Maintain a secure, efficient, and scalable data pipeline and  architecture, currently fed by hundreds of devices in Europe, ensuring the ingestion, processing, and delivery of meaningful insights;

    • Assemble,and work with large datasets to meet business and maintenance teams requirements;

    • Design and productize data processes to ingest, transform, manipulate, process and extract value;

    • Ensure data infrastructure, storage and security concerns are met;

    • Work as a full-stack software developer and systems engineer, focusing on data-related developments following our data flow;

    • Manage network and deployment operations on data related services;

    • Improve and contribute to current development and engineering practices;

    • Turn design concepts into polished, accessible, cross-device, responsive experiences.


    You will be working with the infrastructure that supports Addvolt’s cloud platform. We’re looking for someone passionate about data and performance to contribute to this growing and innovative product around the globe, working towards a greener future. You will be working mainly on developing and improving features built primarily in Python and PostgreSQL, and web development with ReactJS and NodeJS.

    As a data engineer at Addvolt you will also have the chance to integrate in a stable but growing environment setup, open to integrate emerging technologies, and manage our physical architecture towards dealing with
    different workloads.

    Candidate Values and Qualifications

    • Relevant experience with database, server-side architectures and distributed systems concepts;

    • Strong analytic skills related to working with time-series datasets;

    • Relevant experience with database engine Postrgresql and SQL (+3 years);

    • Relevant experience (professional or open-source) in Python and Pandas (+3 years);

    • Relevant experience (professional or open-source) in Javascript (React) and web development (+1 years);

    • Experience with version control system Git and virtualization system Docker;

    • Proficient English speaking abilities.


    Relevant knowledge in at least 4 of the above technical topics is highly valued.

    Nice to have



    • Possess some domain on Quality Assurance (e2e and unit testing), Devops concepts and Architecture Documentation;

    • Passion for data and understanding of how to work with large data sets;

    • Experience coding RESTful APIs or service oriented middleware;

    • Experience with Python’s Celery or other task queue service;

    • Experience with AWS cloud services, namely in EC2, RDS, Elasticache and S3 services.

    As a Finance Associate you will:

    Be responsible for providing support to the finance team in areas such as financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Your role involves analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and assisting with day-to-day financial operations to ensure the financial health and stability of the organization.


    • Assist in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes;

    • Prepare financial reports, statements, and analyses for management review;

    • Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and performance evaluation;

    • Monitor and analyze financial trends, variances, and key performance indicators;

    • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts;

    • Review and reconcile financial data, transactions, and accounts;

    • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities;

    • Assist in the preparation of tax returns, audits, and compliance filings;

    • Support the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures;

    • Assist with financial modeling and scenario analysis;

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects and initiatives;

    • Provide support to finance managers and senior leadership as needed;

    • Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices in finance;

    • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested;

    • Ensuring that all financial activities involving grant funds awarded are accounted for in compliance with rules and regulations;

    • Contribution to the revenue recognition processes to ensure that contribution revenue is reconciled to grants and contribution commitments;

    • Work with company CFO and/or Legal & Compliance Manager and operations leaders to drive opportunities for improvement in variable cost, base cost, controllership processes where possible;

    • Drive process improvements & simplification;

    • Assist in providing management responses to audit reports and timely implements the audit recommendations.

    As a Quality Assurance Technician you will:



    • Conduct inspections and tests on incoming materials, work-in-progress, and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.

    As Quality Assurance Technician you should:
